Our six beautiful Mongolian Yurts are built in the midst of 20 hectars of land where we have now planted over 11 000 liquidambar trees, holm oaks, ciprus trees, pipinques, magnolias, coffee, banana trees, macadamias, etc… This is our family effort to restore a little patch of mist-forest and to generate an edible forest within it. It is our effort to generate a place of harmony and introspection for all.The yurts are built on anacaxtle and cedar wood platforms. The have been adapted to Xico´s fog-forest humid climate. Each has it´s own private dry-toilet and shares solar heated and solar pumped showers, and a gas powered kitchen area. There is no electric light in Liquidambar Project, which makes this a unique place to be with nature, with others, and with yourself. Furnishing is very “zen”, very simple and very cozy. There are several kilometers of walking and bike paths. We are located at the skirts of Cofre de Perote mountain, in the state of Veracruz (about 1300 meters high – while the Cofre elevates to 4200 ms!). Close to us, you will find snow caped mountains as well as warm beaches, Olmec ruins and so much more: which makes our location quite unique and off the beaten track for visitors in Mexico.Come stay with us… not only as a tourist: but as a human being on your path through our Beautiful Planet! Come plant a tree with us! This is a unique experience which will restore your body, mind and spirit… while opening your understanding to a whole new way (well, actually a quite ancient way) of living with the Earth.Don´t forget to bring your sleeping bag, lantern, long sleeves, long pants, hat and, jacket (it tends to get cold at night) and walking boots.
