Riverside Oasis Farm Groovy Yurt

Riverside Oasis Farm

Meet the owners of Riverside Oasis Farm: Michael and Assyl! Having led fast paced, professional careers in major construction projects Michael and Assyl decided to create a life that will bring them closer to a more traditional way of living. Assyl is originally from Kazakhstan and Michael from North East England, meeting in Kazakhstan while working on the same project in 2014. In 2015 they decided to get married and follow work to the Sultanate of Oman in the Middle East, living there for just under two years. During this time they frequently travelled to Hamilton, Ontario to visit Michael’s family and fell in love with Canada. The decision was made to work towards a fresh start in the Niagara Region.

Riverside Oasis Farm was formed when they decided to trade their city life for a simpler, more wholesome lifestyle and they have never looked back. Although this was a huge change to their roots the farm and animals give them all the motivation to keep moving towards their goal to build sustainable life and farm for themselves and the community.

Choose from one of three traditional Mongolian Groovy Yurts, for a peaceful farm yurt getaway in Niagara, Ontario. Each farm stay includes a farm tour with chickens, alpacas and goats to experience along the way. There is also an option to enjoy an organic and locally sourced farm breakfast. Yummy!
